Sour Dour

Sourdough is a dough containing Lactobacillus culture. baking sour dough bread is very simple but time consuming. First you need to "feed your starter". This means putting your yeast into a big bowl and adding water and flour so that the yeast have something to eat. You need to leave it in the refrigerator for about a week because it grows slowly. After a week, add flour into the yeast until it is dough and knead it forawhile. You can add all kinds offlour to it. Rye flour usually adds flavor. Next form the dough into a ball, put it back in the same bowl and cover with plastic. That will allow it time to rise. Once the bread is risen enough, turn on the oven and put it at 350 degrees. Take out of the oven when done and enjoy!
